Derrell has been involved in the produce business since he was a young boy helping his father on their family truck farm. He has over 20 years of experience in all facets of sales, management, and shipping in the produce industry.

He and Loren started Onions, Etc. Inc. so they could carry out their vision for building a new kind of company in the produce industry-one that delivers the very best in everything it does-one that sets new standards of service to the American consumer, and one that rekindles the consumer to farm connection that has been such an important part of our American heritage for greatness.

Like Derrell, Loren has also been involved in the produce business since he was a young boy helping his father with their family fruit stand.  Over 20 years of his industry experience has been directed in the area of domestic and foreign produce sales.

He and Derrell combine their sales efforts and expertise in serving the grocery store, supermarket, and specialty food store produce buyers and merchandizers who purchase HomeGrown™ label produce. Their reputations are well established as hard working experts in the industry who love what they do, provide service well beyond the norm, and deliver what they promise.

Derrell Kelso, Sr. brings over 40 years of distinguished service and leadership in business to the Onions Etc., Inc. management team. His role on the team is an extension of a lifetime passion for raising quality, farm fresh produce and conducting business with integrity, vision, and service to others.

Derrell “retired” after 40 years in agribusiness marketing and sales to assume primary responsibility for product development, marketing, and customer relationship building at all levels for Onions Etc., Inc.

For most of his career life, Ron Willis has been putting his passion for accounting to work as a vital component for the success of the companies with whom he has been associated. Ron worked his way up from the mail room as a young man to the controller position for the produce division of a major national retailer, and enjoyed many years of service in that position prior to coming on board at the start up of Onions, Etc., Inc.

Ron’s passion for accounting, 32 years of experience, and his hands on familiarity with the fresh fruit and vegetable industry rounds out this uniquely talented Onions Etc., Inc. senior sales and management team.

Gary Maltbie

Gary, Loren’s brother, brings 28 years of produce industry experience to Onions, Etc., Inc. He has served in a variety of service roles- as a truck driver delivering produce to retail stores and restaurants, and from produce dock work to produce company foreman. Gary came to Onions Etc. in 2001 as the warehouse and product supervisor.

Gary and his wife Freeda live in Stockton and enjoy hunting, fishing and doing arts and crafts.

Konstadinos “Kostas” Arzimanoglous

Fifteen years ago, Kostas moved his family from Greece to the San Francisco bay area.  He began work in the produce industry on his arrival, working for a produce wholesaler who also repackaged fruits and vegetables.

His responsibility was to keep the all produce repackaging machinery in operation.  Onions Etc. is very fortunate to have someone with his knowledge and experience.
